Maurice Gravier
Maurice Gravier is Group Chief Investment Officer for Wealth Management at Emirates NBD, one of the largest banking groups in the Middle East, with over 25 years of experience across asset management, equity investment, and private banking. He has extensive operational experience building and leading CIO offices, managing multi-asset portfolios, and delivering superior risk adjusted returns across strategic and tactical asset allocation, discretionary portfolio management, and long term wealth preservation at world class financial institutions across Europe and the Middle East.
After building an elite career in finance — from not knowing the investment world existed at 18, to rising through Paribas Asset Management in Paris, to becoming equity CIO at Natixis Asset Management, one of France's largest asset managers — Maurice experienced a defining reset that brought him to Dubai and Emirates NBD, where he has spent nine years building one of the most respected CIO offices in the region. Overseeing an investment platform that spans 13 countries from KSA to London to Singapore, he has led his team through multiple market cycles, reshaped strategic asset allocation three times in eight years in response to shifting geopolitics and the post Covid landscape, and built a discretionary portfolio management platform that competes with the very best Swiss banks.
As a leader in wealth management, Maurice specialises in helping clients who understand that preserving and growing wealth requires patience, discipline, and a refusal to chase short term returns. Drawing from his training at ESCP Europe, his formative years at Lombard Odier in Geneva, and nearly a decade at Emirates NBD in Dubai, he brings both technical rigour and personal conviction to the belief that in an age where intelligence is becoming a commodity, the only things that will always give you value are judgment, trust, stability, and accountability.
Based in Dubai, Maurice leads a diverse team of investment professionals spanning multiple generations and cultural backgrounds, championing financial literacy, long term thinking, and the belief that extraordinary results can be achieved with very ordinary people — applying the same integrity, passion, and rigour to building portfolios as he does to building people.
